Overview
This standard covers the skills and knowledge required to gain recognition against externally assessed quality schemes or complying with voluntary criteria. It is about evaluating the benefits and requirements of different schemes, following processes to get approval and ensuring the information is passed on to customers. This could apply to the production of wood chips, wood pellets, wood briquettes, fire wood or charcoal.

You must be able to:

- allow realistic time to follow application processes for chosen

- produce appropriate evidence to prove compliance against criteria

- seek specialist advice when required to improve chances of
proving compliance
