This standard covers the skills and knowledge required to create edge build ups for solid surfaces ensuring that there are inconspicuous seals. It covers thermoforming corners, preparing surfaces and fitting guides
Performance criteria
You must be able to:

- check equipment is set up correctly and in good working order

- check materials required meet specifications and are free from

cut edge strips to desired thickness to meet specifications

- dry-fit all pieces to ensure seam lines disappear to meet
specifications
- set and glue guides following company procedures and
manufacturers' instructions
- sand and clean all pieces following company procedures and
manufacturers' instructions
- apply adhesives and clamp following company procedures and
manufacturers' instructions
- remove clamping equipment and guides following company
procedures and manufacturers' instructions
- remove excess glue following company procedures and
manufacturers' instructions
