Performance criteria
You must be able to:
- follow work instructions and specifications at all times

- produce accurate information and detailed specifications for bulk production
- plan and control cost effective production systems
- determine the resources needed to achieve outputs
- carry out agreed actions to develop support systems
- monitor bulk production processes at agreed intervals
- use reliable information to identify the nature of faults and defects and their likely causes
- recommend required adjustments to procedures to resolve faults and defects
- alter instructions and specifications and adjust processes and materials to rectify faults and defects
- monitor output after adjustments to ensure conformity against specification
- develop quality systems and documentation to support revisions to quality requirements
- complete and store accurate records and documentation in line with agreed procedures

- how to receive and interpret work instructions and specifications and make use of the information supplied
- the resources and systems required to achieve the output
- how to establish production outcomes and maintain quality requirements
- the production planning and control procedures
- the working methods and adjustments to procedures that may be required
- the support systems relevant to bulk production
- the machine specifications and capabilities and the compatibility of machine and product
- how to rectify faults occurring during bulk production and the fault finding principles and techniques used to identify these
- how to test machinery and equipment after maintenance and fault rectification
- how your specific work activities relate to the whole process and limits of own responsibility
- the importance of effective communication with colleagues, the lines of communication, authority and reporting procedures
- the organisation's rules, codes and guidelines including timekeeping and personal hygiene
- own organisation's ethical and sustainability policies
- the types of records kept for bulk production, including maintenance and fault finding, how they are completed and the importance of accuracy
