Overview

This standard is about modelling business processes.

IT business analysts apply structured approaches to identify business problems, and investigate, analyse and communicate requirements to improve processes, systems and services.

Business models are created to communicate and provide insights about existing, conceptual or proposed scenarios. Modelling business processes involves identifying and representing the processes, roles, data handling and outputs for a business situation. Developed models can be defined at varying levels of detail and abstraction to inform business process improvement. They also support comparisons of alternative outcomes based on changing inputs and parameters.

This standard is for those who need to model business processes as part of their duties.
