Overview

This standard is about the steps undertaken to complete a certification process for sustainability on a production.

The toolkit and certification process used may differ production by production and will be communicated to you at the start of your role.

This standard is for those who work primarily in Sustainability coordinator roles on a production. Some of the tasks could alternatively be undertaken or supported by the Sustainability assistant or member of the production team depending on the type, size and budget of the production and the size of the sustainability team deployed.

Performance criteria

You must be able to:

  1. check and confirm the sustainability certification requirements for the production
  2. liaise with the certification system or tool owner on any queries
  3. complete and submit the required documentation for the sustainability certification system or tool being used
  4. compile an evidence file  and share with the production as required to ensure their auditability
  5. provide reports on progress with the certification process to the production and the sustainability team
  6. upon completion of the certification process obtain the sustainability certification for the production
  7. provide the sustainability certification to the responsible person, with the guidelines around use of certification and associated logos bespoke to the certifier

Knowledge and Understanding

You need to know and understand:

  1. the sustainability certification requirements of the systems and tools you are using
  2. who to liaise with to get support with the certification tool and process
  3. the timelines for starting and completing the certification process
  4. the importance of progress reports and who to share these with
  5. how to complete the sustainability certification process and obtain the sustainability certification
  6. the guidelines around use of sustainability certification and associated logos bespoke to the certifier
  7. who to provide the certification to
