Overview

"​This standard is about commissioning broadcast and media systems at the end of the installation process. This standard applies to a variety of broadcast and media systems including studio operation, outside broadcast, post production, distribution and transmission."


Performance criteria

You must be able to:

"1. ​specify methods and procedures for the broadcast and media system being commissioned
2. plan commissioning of broadcast and media systems
3. determine and obtain required resources to undertake commissioning of broadcast and media systems
4. implement commissioning of broadcast and media systems when conditions are suitable
5. implement commissioning of broadcast and media systems in line with agreed procedures
6. identify and resolve problems with the commissioning of broadcast and media systems
7. assess the results of commissioning and check that outputs of broadcast and media systems meet requirements
8. confirm that broadcast and media systems meet specifications and comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines
9. record commissioning results in information systems
10. check that transfer of control is accepted by clients when handing over commissioned systems to them"

14. how to implement commissioning and measure success
