You must be able to:

- select fabric types for roman and London blind linings to meet specifications
- select fabric suitable for contrast panels to meet specifications
- calculate blind features, measurements and dimensions and window/aperture style/size to meet specifications
- measure fabrics for roman and London blind construction to meet specifications
- estimate allowances for rod pockets and pleats to meet specifications
- calculate folds for both standard and cascade roman blinds to meet specifications
- cut fabrics to specified measurements for width/drops to meet specifications
- measure contrast panels to meet specifications
- insert contrast panels to meet specifications
- machine finish applying the appropriate stitch, tension and method
- check there is no visible disturbance to blind fronts to meet specifications
- finish stitching to meet specifications
- position and secure linings to meet specifications
- position and secure rod pockets and pleats to meet specifications
- hand finish sections applying the appropriate stitch, tension and method
- hand stitch to specified measurements
- attach rings and Velcro to meet specifications
- secure all edges following standard operating procedures
- carry out your work to the required quality and output to meet production schedules and targets
