You must be able to:

- develop and implement procedures for your organisation for both on-site and off-site emergencies following industry best practice
- check sufficient facilities, material and equipment, including communication equipment, are available to deal with control of emergencies in your organisation following industry best practice

- establish effective liaison with appropriate emergency services and regulatory and local authorities following industry best practice
