Overview

This standard is about conducting the research that is necessary to maintain an accurate picture of existing and potential travel and tourism destinations and understanding why customers choose to travel to them.

Features such as facilities, local developments, transport links and
attractions change over time and it is important that descriptions of
destinations are up-to-date, whether that information is supplied to
potential customers or other organisations (such as travel agencies).
The standard is for those responsible for researching travel and destination information and keeping it up-to-date and accurate.
