Performance criteria

You must be able to:

1. Monitor and maintain the aircraft cabin environment to the airline's standard 2. Operate all aircraft cabin environmental control systems in line with the airline's procedures 3. Monitor passengers' comfort and respond according to the airline’s procedures 4. Respond to passengers' comments, questions, complaints or requests regarding their comfort and take action according to the airline’s procedures 5. Identify breakdowns, faults or abnormalities in the aircraft cabin environmental control systems and take the necessary actions to maintain passengers’ comfort

Knowledge and Understanding

You need to know and understand:

1. Where to find, how to use and the function of aircraft cabin environmental control systems, including heating, air-conditioning and lighting 2. The airline’s standards and procedures for monitoring and maintaining the aircraft cabin environment 3. How to respond to passengers’ comments, questions, complaints or requests relating to the aircraft cabin environment 4. The common types of aircraft cabin environmental control system breakdowns, faults, and abnormalities, and how to deal with them
