When you have completed this standard you will be able to demonstrate your understanding of and ability to:
- Organise staff to display goods for retail sale
Performance criteria
You must be able to:
- organise staff by briefing them on the purpose and requirements of the display following your workplace procedures
- check relevant requirements with the appropriate authority following your workplace procedures
- provide opportunities for staff to check they understand the requirements of the display following your workplace procedures
- supervise the staff preparing the display area and putting the display together in a way that causes the least inconvenience to customers and follows relevant legislation and your workplace requirements
- follow your workplace procedures to provide constructive feedback to staff on their performance
- check that the assembled display conforms to the supplier's, your workplace and relevant legislation requirements
- obtain permission from the appropriate authority to modify or change the display following your workplace procedures
- monitor that information has been placed accurately, is in line with relevant legislation, your workplace procedures and is positioned to promote sales effectively
- keep complete, accurate and up-to-date records of displays following your workplace procedures
