This standard is for staff with responsibilities for visual displays and equipment.

When you have completed this standard you will be able to demonstrate your understanding of and ability to:

  • Store equipment, props and graphics for retail displays

Performance criteria

You must be able to:

  1. accurately work out the storage space required following your workplace procedures
  2. identify the protective packaging required and the security measures that must be in place following your workplace procedures
  3. store equipment, props and graphics for retail displays in suitable places and with clear and accurate labels following your workplace procedures
  4. keep accurate and up-to-date records of equipment, props and graphics in storage following your workplace procedures
  5. identify damaged or missing equipment, props and graphics or any item
    • that poses a danger or risk to health and safety, and report these promptly to the correct person following your workplace procedures and relevant legislation
  6. check that storage facilities and items in storage are clean, safe, secure and accessible only to those with authority to access them following your workplace procedures and relevant legislation
