Overview
This standard covers the monitoring and maintenance of the receipt and selection of eggs for incubation and hatching. You are likely to have overall responsibility for this part of production and be supported in this capacity by other workers. Performance criteria
You must be able to:

- check that chemicals are used safely, at the correct dilution rates,
and in accordance with the relevant health and safety regulations
and the manufacturer's instructions
- maintain communication with colleagues and others involved in
the work
- maintain hygiene and bio-security, in accordance with business
practices
- manage waste safely and correctly, in accordance with the
relevant legislation and business practices
- carry out all work in accordance with relevant environmental and
health and safety legislation, animal health and welfare legislation,
risk assessment requirements, codes of practice and business
policies
- confirm that records are maintained and stored, as required by
relevant legislation and the business
