Process payments from clients
Overview
This standard is about concluding the services provided to the client. This will include processing payment for the services, and insurance claims where applicable, providing the client with additional information and booking further appointments where required.

P1 inform the client of the fees due
P2 make any follow-up appointments required
P3 inform the client of any additional products or services that may be of value to them
P4 refer the client to a senior member of staff if they require advice
P5 explain the methods of payment accepted in your place of work
P6 accept payment from clients and process payments correctly, including insurance claims where applicable
P7 refer any problems with payments that are outside the limits of your authority to a senior member of staff.

K2 the fees for services and how these are made up including costs and taxes and the reason for each type of fee

K6 problems that may occur when processing payments from clients and the limits of your authority to deal with these e.g. disagreement over price, inability to pay, credit requirement
K7 the range of products and services offered by your place of work
K8 the legislation and regulations regarding processing payments
