You must be able to:

- identify and manage jobseekers’ needs and expectations
- discuss and agree a timetable for action with jobseekers
- record information in accordance with organisational procedures
- align the job search methods, placement methods and services with current legislation and professional codes of practice
- maintain agreed contact with jobseekers
- update information about jobseekers’ requirements
- act upon opportunities to refer jobseekers to potential hirers
- seek jobseekers’ references and their eligibility to work
- collect and record all data in accordance with organisational procedures and current legislation
- review job search processes with jobseekers on a regular basis
