Overview
This standard covers the requirements to shape materials other than glass relating to automotive glazing work.
Performance criteria
You must be able to:
P1 comply with health and safety requirements and procedures at all times.
P2 identify the types of automotive glazing materials used in the organisation and their features
P3 identify and prepare a suitable location for shaping the automotive glazing material.
P4 handle and position the automotive glazing material correctly for shaping.
P5 shape the automotive glazing material correctly according to the requirement, using the appropriate equipment.
P6 monitor the shaping to ensure it achieves the specification.
P7 use the automotive glazing material effectively to minimise wastage.
P8 record information on the shaping of the automotive glazing materials in the appropriate information systems.
