Overview

This standard identifies the requirements when you support the effectiveness of teams. This includes agreeing on individual and collective roles and responsibilities within teams, collaborating effectively as a team member and contributing to the effectiveness, culture and high standards of professional practice of the team.


Performance criteria

You must be able to:

  1. establish consent and access information about teams, outcomes and the workplace vision and purpose 
  2. identify and agree the roles and responsibilities of yourself and others in contributing to the outcomes of teams and the workplace vision and purpose
  3. complete commitments to others within agreed work priorities 
  4. contribute to equality, diversity, inclusion and rights to demonstrate respect and value for others
  5. contribute to a workplace culture of openness, mutual support, integrity and wellbeing 
  6. contribute to modelling professional practice
  7. engage in effective professional communication in the workplace 
  8. contribute to sharing ideas, perspectives and concerns to improve team working
  9. work in partnership in teams to manage group dynamics, resolve conflicts and find solutions  
  10. practice self-care, regulate your emotions and develop resilience 
  11. inform others on progress towards deadlines and commitments 
  12. seek opportunities to share your knowledge and skills with others 
  13. contribute to records and reports required for supporting the effectiveness of teams
  14. reflect on how you carried out your roles and responsibilities to support the effectiveness of teams, with feedback from others

  17. how to respond to issues and concerns which may occur between team members 
  18. the importance of informing relevant team members when you cannot meet deadlines and commitments
  19. techniques to support self-care, emotional regulation and resilience in the face of setbacks
  20. how to contribute to the professionalism of teams 
  21. types of digital tools and devices that can support the effectiveness of teams
  22. the records and reports required to support the effectiveness of teams
  23. the relevant legal requirements, standards of practice, frameworks and guidance for supporting the effectiveness of teams
  24. the workplace requirements on equality, diversity, inclusion, and rights when supporting the effectiveness of teams
  25. how to work in partnership with others to support the effectiveness of teams
  26. how your personal experiences and unconscious bias may impact when supporting the effectiveness of teams, and how to address this
  27. the role of supervision, reflective practice and learning and development in supporting the effectiveness of teams
