Overview

This Standard is about managing the environmental impact of waste resource management activity.  Environmental impact can be in relation to work activities, resource use and fire.  With the regenerative approach of the circular economy, waste is increasingly being seen as a resource which is made up of materials with future uses.  This Standard could apply to any type of waste resource management facility.

This includes assessing and reporting on the environmental impact of work activities and resource use, organising work activities and resource use to minimise environmental impact, promoting on-going improvement in environmental performance and implementing fire prevention controls and measures.

This Standard for is managers or supervisors on any type of waste resource management facility.
