This standard covers contributing to technical leadership in the power utilities environment.

4. report on the actions taken to resolve potential problems in accordance with organisational reporting systems and procedures
5. confirm that the solutions to overcome problems are implemented in a safe and effective way
6. provide colleagues with up-to-date technical information, advice and guidance on the status and potential changes to working methods
7. communicate methods to be adopted and implement to overcome and resolve the potential problem to designated and authorised personnel **

5. how to carry out a site risk assessment, identify hazards and assess risks of the site and proposed activity
6. how to maintain safe working and environmental practices throughout the duration of the work
7. how to respond to the different types and categories of emergency situations that might occur
8. how to devise deliverable work plans that reflect the skills and competencies of the individual and the work team
