Overview

​This standard identifies the competencies you need to capture digital images to required procedures and protocols. 
You will be required to demonstrate that you can capture the necessary digital images following the required organisational and regulatory procedures and protocols. 
The activity is likely to be undertaken by someone in a science-related work setting, including individuals working in hospitals, scientific laboratories and universities.


Performance criteria

You must be able to:

​P1. ensure that your work is carried out in accordance with workplace proceduresP2. use safe practices and the appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE) when undertaking digital imaging meeting organisational requirements and proceduresP3. establish the requirements for the digital imaging activity being undertaken in line with organisational requirementsP4. identify hazards and assess risks against digital imaging requirementsP5. prepare the resources needed for the digital imaging activity being undertaken in accordance with organisational requirements and Standard Operating Procedures P6. capture required digital imaging in accordance with organisational procedures and Standard Operating Procedures  P7. label, package and store collected digital image in accordance with organisational and regulatory procedures
P8. communicate the required information about the digital image in accordance with departmental and organisational procedures.


Knowledge and Understanding

You need to know and understand:
