Prepare new methods, resources and equipment for learning activities in life sciences and related industries
Overview
This standard covers the skills you need to develop and prepare new
methods, resources and equipment for use in new or modified
learning activities, in accordance with approved procedures and
practices. You will identify and use relevant understanding, methods
and skills to initiate and complete tasks and procedures and address
problems that, whilst well-defined, may be complex and non-routine.
You will exercise autonomy and judgement subject to overall
direction or guidance and report any problems with the activities,
materials or equipment that you cannot personally resolve.
You will be expected to show you have identified, gathered and used
relevant information to inform your actions and identify how effective these
have been. You will work under a team leader, whilst taking responsibility
for the quality and accuracy of the work that you carry out.
This type of activity requires meticulous planning from start to finish and
includes agreement, appropriateness and evaluation of the activity and
assessment and cost-effectiveness of all resources required.
Your underpinning knowledge will provide a good understanding of scientific
or technical facts, procedures and ideas and to interpret and evaluate the
activity.
Who this standard is for
