Performance criteria
You must be able to:
P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelinesP2 determine the task and how this will be achieved while meeting the requirements of the organisation and manufacturer's specifications for the equipment being usedP3 select the appropriate equipment and check that it is in a usable conditionP4 position and secure the equipment in line with the organisation’s and manufacturer's specifications P5 securely fix any necessary temporary support facilitiesP6 take appropriate measures to protect the finished assembled equipmentP7 deal promptly and effectively with problems within your control and report those that cannot be solved

K1 health and safety legislation, regulations and safe working practices and proceduresK2 the potential hazards to others while positioning equipment K3 types and application of equipmentK4 types of assembly, installation methods and techniques used K5 methods of providing temporary support during installations K6 tool and equipment care and control proceduresK7 reporting lines and procedures
