Performance criteria
You must be able to:
P1 maintain the process conditions in accordance with specification
P2 record and report conditions outside accepted tolerances to appropriate people
P3 ensure that necessary adjustments cause minimum process upset
P4 ensure that new conditions are achieved and optimised
P5 maintain systematic monitoring of conditions throughout the operation
P6 use operational resources
P7 complete all relevant documentation
P8 respond appropriately to all alarms
P9 communicate all relevant information to appropriate people
P10 work safely in accordance with operational requirements
Knowledge and Understanding
You need to know and understand:
K1 the implications of statutory and organisational requirements
K2 how to interpret operational requirements
K3 how to work with and within the Permit to Work system
K4 the principles of controlling process operations
K5 how to achieve minimum process upset during adjustment
K6 the principles of achieving and optimising new process conditions
K7 how to use operational resources efficiently
K8 how to implement a systematic monitoring system
K9 the appropriate records
K10 the principles of mass balance
