Assemble battery packs

This standard identifies the competencies and knowledge you need to assemble battery packs in battery manufacturing.
 
You will receive the appropriate instructions and information to select the required materials and equipment and safely assemble individual cells to product specifications to make battery packs.

During the process, you will be responsible for complying with company procedures, adhering to all safety and environmental protocols, and reporting any problems with your role to the relevant people if you cannot resolve them personally.

This Standard is for individuals working in the lithium-ion and post lithium-ion battery manufacturing industries.

1. check that you have the correct work instructions and relevant information to assemble the battery pack in line with organisational requirements

3. check you have the correct equipment for the task and that the equipment is safe and functional

10. dispose of waste in accordance with company, environmental and legal procedures requirements
11. leave the work area in a safe condition on completion of the work activities in accordance with company requirements
12. deal with problems, reporting any which you cannot solve
13. work safely at all times in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations, guidelines and organisational requirements
14. complete any records and documentation in accordance with organisational and legal requirements
