URN: CMIML803
Business Sectors (Suites): Pan-sector Management and Leadership 2026
Developed by: CMI
Approved: 2026

Overview

This standard is about managing shared risks across organisational boundaries to support safe, effective and coordinated working. Shared risks may arise between teams, departments, professions, partner organisations, sectors or external stakeholders. You determine the information you need, gather and analyse evidence and understand roles, responsibilities and interdependencies. You communicate clearly, promote inclusion and shared understanding and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to identify, assess and respond to shared risks. You monitor the working environment, escalate concerns when required and adapt your approach when conditions change. You support collective ownership of shared risks and contribute to a positive and proactive risk culture.

This standard applies to managers and leaders at all levels across all sectors.
