Overview

This standard is about taking responsibility for your behaviour, performance and ongoing development as a leader. You clarify the purpose and expectations of your role, align your behaviour with organisational values and evaluate your impact on colleagues and organisational outcomes. You seek feedback, learn from experience and identify development priorities that strengthen your capability. You maintain your wellbeing, adapt your approach when expectations change and take action to support sustained improvement and professional growth. 

This standard applies to managers and leaders at all levels across all sectors.


Performance criteria

You must be able to:

  1. Clarify the purpose, expectations and boundaries of your role to guide your behaviour and performance.
  2. Explain how your role contributes to organisational objectives, values and priorities to support aligned and purposeful working.
  3. Act in ways that consistently align with organisational values and standards of practice to support credible and values-aligned leadership.
