Connect wiring systems and equipment for a live performance
Overview
This standard is about implementing the correct procedures for connecting wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment appropriate to the electrical system.
Performance criteria
You must be able to:
You must be able to:
P1 carry out a safe system of work identifying any foreseeable hazards relating to the connection of wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
P2 identify accurately the means of electrical isolation prior to connection
P3 carry out isolation procedures to ensure a safe connection in accordance with electrical regulations and approved procedures
P4 make connections in accordance with specifications and comply with IEE wiring regulations as specified in the most recent British Standard for electrical Installations
P5 check the connections are electrically and mechanically sound, and ensure that they are identified correctly and clearly
P6 take safe and sensible action to remedy any identified defects after connection has taken place
P7 complete any necessary documentation about the work legibly, accurately and timely in accordance with organisational
