This standard is about using musical literacy, awareness of genre, style and context to work collaboratively to create a body of original musical work, having defined own role, in addition to the artistic and musical rationale for creating the work

P1 identify the genre, style and commercial market for the proposed composition
P2 identify your artistic and musical role within the collaborative team
P3 demonstrate an ability to work democratically within a collaborative team
P4 produce and evaluate the musical and lyrical content of the composition
P5 achieve an effective balance between various compositional elements such as dynamics, range, rhythms and melody
P6 deliver the composition to intended recipient(s) in a relevant format
P7 review and respond appropriately to feedback on the composition
P8 maintain records and files as appropriate
