Overview

This standard is about taking a Tram vehicle out of service.  You will be able to deliver a Tram to an appointed location and safely immobilise, shut down and secure the Tram vehicle in line with your organisation's procedures. 

This standard is for anyone who drives a Tram vehicle.


Performance criteria

You must be able to:

1        take a Tram vehicle to the appointed location at the end of a service

2        follow instructions regarding the positioning of the Tram vehicle

3        immobilise and shut down the Tram vehicle and relevant systems and equipment

4        secure the Tram vehicle in line with organisational procedures

5        report the location and condition of the tram vehicle to the relevant person(s)

6        follow safety and security procedures

7        complete documentation in line with organisational procedures


Knowledge and Understanding

You need to know and understand:

1        the locations where Tram vehicles are stabled, and the risks associated with these locations 2        the sequence and procedure for immobilisation and shut down activities 3        the procedures for securing a Tram vehicle 4        the importance of securing the Tram vehicle 5        the safety and security procedures relating to taking a Tram vehicle out of service 6        the organisational procedures for reporting the location and condition of the Tram vehicle 7        the relevant documentation completion requirements ** **
