Welsh NOS leaflet

National Occupational Standards (NOS) have been part of the picture since the mid-1980s, with the first translations appearing for Media (television), Social/community/elderly/children's care, in the early 1990s, as part of a Welsh Office funded development project - ‘NVQs through the medium of Welsh’. Later, the SSCs became responsible for the development of NOS and for arranging for NOS in some areas to be translated into Welsh.
